Welcome to Imperial Motel

Imperial Motel, located at 2140 S Broadway St in Wichita, Kansas, offers travelers a straightforward and comfortable stay with a touch of vintage charm in a Riverside suburb known for its classic trucks at the Kansas Firefighters Museum. With a rating of 3.1, this motel balances functionality with a sense of quiet hospitality.

Guests regularly highlight the spacious, well-kept rooms that feel surprisingly fresh and clean, a rare comfort for those who demand high standards. The beds are praised for their comfort, with quality bedding that rivals department store brands, ensuring restful nights. Each room is equipped with practical amenities such as a refrigerator and coffee maker, alongside reliable air conditioning to keep the atmosphere pleasant, especially during warm seasons.

The staff at Imperial Motel receive warm mentions for their friendly and approachable demeanor, countering earlier reports of unfriendly management. This creates a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits. While amenities like the pool, hot tub, and treadmill are present and well maintained, they may not be standout features for all guests. The breakfast offering is solid, presenting decent variety though it doesn’t venture into gourmet territory.

Notably, the motel is pet-friendly, making it a viable choice for travelers with furry companions. However, it lacks airport shuttle services and air-conditioning is not available throughout, which could influence preferences depending on the season or traveler needs. Parking is accessible though somewhat limited, but usually sufficient.

Its combination of cleanliness, comfort, and modest amenities makes it a practical base—especially for guests appreciative of simplicity without sacrificing comfort. The motel embodies a pragmatic spirit, nestling comfortably among budget-conscious accommodations while delivering solid value and a personable touch.

WOW! What a great place to stay. The rooms were spacious and unbelievably clean (I am fussy when it comes to clean!). The beds were so comfortable and the comforters look like they came from Macy’s. Everything was up to date and very well maintained. I’m not sure why previous reviews say the owner was grumpy. (....Maybe a previous owner???). He was just as nice as could be! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again. We highly recommend this place!

Stayed for one night, did not enjoy the pool, hot tub or treadmill, but looked well maintained. Parking lot though seemed small was able to get in and out easy. They had hot breakfast available and was ok. Good choices but nothing earth shattering. Rooms had fridge coffee, maker and super cold AC. Staff was friendly. If we need to stay again would use it for sure.
